Gators Begin 2025 with Three School Records

NORTHAMPTON, Mass. – Russell Sage College began 2025 by setting three school records at the Yankee Small College Invitational, held at the Smith College Indoor Track and Tennis Facility.

Junior Chris Pellegrini (Loudonville, NY/Colonie Central) lowered his program record in the 600m run with a fifth-place time of 1:32.02.

Junior Dylan Lawless (Slingerlands, NY) bettered the school standard in the high jump with a mark of 1.70m, good for fourth place.

Senior David Adadjo (Nassau, NY/Columbia) had a pair of top-five finishes in the sprints. He dashed 60m in 7.26 to take second out of 35 entries, and completed 200m fourth with a time of 23.56.

On the women's side, senior Sarah Armenia (Saratoga Springs, NY/Shen) won the weight throw with a program record toss of 11.77m. She finished sixth in the shot put with a 9.67m mark. 

Sophomore Mercedez Cecelia-Storey (Pine Hill, NY/Onteora) placed fourth in the weight throw with distance of a 11.31m, while sophomore Alexius Smith (Cohoes, NY/Cohoes) finished sixth in the high jump with a height of 1.21m.

As a team, the RSC men finished sixth out of 14 competing institutions with 24 points, while the RSC womens scored 18 points to place 10th out of 12 schools.

The Gators are back in action on Saturday at Utica.
