ALBANY, N.Y. – A trio from Russell Sage College made the 2023-2024 Academic All-District® Cross Country and Track and Field Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators.

Senior Mackenzie Feeney (Saugerties, NY/Saugerties) and juniors Elizabeth Ingellis (Kingston, NY/Kingston) and Kaiden Simpson (Bennington, VT/Mount Anthony Union) earned the honor based upon their academic and athletic success.

Feeney wrapped up her Gator cross country and track and field career by receiving third-team All-Empire 8 Conference distinction in the 1,500m run. The biology major, who earned All-Empire 8 Conference Outdoor Track and Field honors in all four years, closed the spring with program outdoor records in the 800m and 1,500m runs.

Simpson, who majors in nursing, increased his program record in the javelin with a toss of 48.33m, good for second place at the E8 Outdoor Championships.

Ingellis holds the RSC outdoor record in the 5,000m run and the indoor 3,000m and 5,000m records. The childhood education major earned first-team All-E8 Cross Country honors the past two falls.

The 2024 Academic All-District® Cross Country and Track and Field Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced on July 9 and 10.
