Milton, NY – The Sage Colleges' men's cross country team was in action on Saturday competing at the Mt. St. Mary College Invitational. The Gator men picked up a 13th place showing in a field of 16 teams. Sage's men's team had 343 points behind the first place Fighting Tigers of SUNY-Cobleskill that won the event with their score of 79.
Junior captain Juan Reyes-Alvarez (Latham, NY/Shaker) was the top individual runner-up posting a blistering time of 28:49 and finished in fourth place on the 8 k course. Next for the Gators in 76th place, was senior Taylor McMillen (Wynantskill, NY/Averill Park) as he finished the race in 36:40. Senior Anthony Crawford (Bronx, NY/Frederick Douglass Academy) posted a time of 37:43 and took 80th. Junior Nick Haas (Malone, NY/Franklin Academy) was next for the Gators in 88th in 38:42, while freshman Donald Edwards (Brooklyn, NY/James Westinghouse) posted a time of 42:05 and finished in 95th.
Sage's team is back in action on October 18 travelling to the Green Mountain College with a race start time of 11:45 a.m.
