Brooklyn, NY – The Sage Colleges' men's volleyball team travelled to the Pratt Institute for a tri-match with Yeshiva University. The Gators posted a 3-1 win over Yeshiva University and then tallied a 3-0 win over Pratt. The wins put Sage at 4-14 overall and 3-5 in the Skyline Conference after their league win over Yeshiva.
Against Pratt, Sage's senior Zach Sullivan (Ballston Spa, NY/Burnt Hills Ballston Lake) added 8 kills with five digs, while senior captain Dylan Krowicki (Little Falls, NY/Little Falls) connected for 7 kills, 8 digs, and an aces. He was perfect with no errors in 12 reception attempts.
Senior setter Matthew DeGeyter (Hudson, NY/Hawthorne Valley) had 13 setting assists with 9 digs, while senior libero Cory Gransbury (Round Top, NY/Cairo-Durham) added 7 digs for the Gators and was also perfect with n reception errors in 10 attempts.
Against Yeshiva, Krowicki racked up 16 kills and had 12 digs. He had 20 reception attempts and was again perfect in the match. DeGeyter had 40 setting assists with two aces and nine digs. Gransbury led the Gators with his 13 digs.
Senior Justin Pruiksma (Athens, NY/Coxsackie-Athens) added 9 kills with 5 digs and rookie Chris MacArthur (Hillsdale, NY/Taconic Hills) added 5 kills.
The Gators will be back in action on Sunday, March 30 at NYU-Poly with Yeshiva in a Skyline Conference tri-match.
