ALBANY, N.Y. – Russell Sage College had nine student-athletes named to the 2023 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Soccer Teams.
Senior defender/midfielder Ian Maguire (Dunstable, MA/Groton Dunstable Regional), junior defender Mason Kievit (LaGrange, NY/Our Lady of Lourdes), junior midfielder/forward Joe Piperata (Rensselaer, NY/Catholic Central) represented men's soccer, while sophomore defender Courtney Bush (Schenectady, NY/Mohonasen), senior defender Allison Basila (Queensbury, NY/Queensbury), senior defender Aimee Warman (Rexford, NY/Shenendehowa), senior forward Marissa Key (Monroe, NY/Monroe-Woodbury), junior forward Julia Hanlon (Averill Park, NY/Averill Park), senior forward Kennedy Jones (Albany, NY/Albany) were selected from the women's soccer team.
Basila and Maguire also earned the honor last season.
The2023 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Soccer Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced December 19 (men) and December 20 (women).
