HERSHEY, Pa. – A trio from Russell Sage College earned All-Empire 8 Conference honors. Accolades were determined based upon the Conference Championships, held October 8 and 9 and April 13 and 14.
Senior Austin Carpenter (Peru, NY/Peru) fired a 323 (+39) to finish sixth out of 32 golfers and garner second-team accolades. Freshman Ryan Arp (Greenville, NY/Greenville CAD) carded a 337 (+53) to place 14th and the accompanying third-team distinction.
One golfer from each school was named that institution's representative on the 2023-24 E8 Men's Golf Sportsmen of the Year Team. The Empire 8 Conference emphasizes that "Competing with Honor and Integrity" is an essential component of a student-athlete's experience in conjunction with an institution's educational mission. These honorees have distinguished themselves and consistently exhibit the critical traits as outstanding sportsmen. Junior Elijah Waterhouse (Lake Luzerne, NY/Lake Luzerne) represented the Gators on the squad.
Gator Bites: RSC finished fourth out of seventh competing institutions at the Empire 8 Conference Championships.
