Greensboro, NC – The 2023 ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Div. III All-Region teams and Regional Players of the Year were announced earlier this summer. For the first time ever, Russell Sage College had a player honored with a selection to the Region III Third Team. The teams are voted on by members of the American Baseball Coaches Association and the process is led by the ABCA NCAA Division III All-America Committee. RSC’s senior James Lubanski earned the distinction as the first Gator to ever earn a spot on ABCA All-Region squad. The honor comes on the heels of numerous awards for the designated hitter.

Pittsford, NY – Russell Sage College’s baseball team was in action om the second day of the 2023 Empire 8 Championship hosted by St. John Fisher University. The Gators had a busy day taking on Houghton University in the first game of the day and came away with a 12-2 win. RSC then faced No. 2 seeded Utica University in an elimination game and triumphed with a play at the plate in the bottom of the 11th, beating second seeded Utica, 7-6.

Houghton, NY – Houghton University picked up the 12-6 victory over Russell Sage College’s baseball team in Empire 8 play on Sunday. The Gators wrap Empire 8 play with a 9-9 record and have secured the program’s second straight Empire 8 tournament bid.
Houghton, NY-- Russell Sage College's baseball team was in action on Saturday at Houghton University to open their three-game Empire 8 series. Houghton took game one in an 11 inning affair, 2-1 and the Gators won the nightcap, 1-0.
Albany, NY – Russell Sage College’s baseball team wrapped their three-game Empire 8 series with Keuka College as they took a 5-4 win in the first contest and added a 4-1 victory in the night cap. RSC is now 15-18 overall and 8-7 in the Empire 8, A year ago the Gators were 14-27-1 in their inaugural campaign under rookie head coach Nick Pontari. After Saturday’s pair of wins, the 2023 Gators have surpassed that overall win total as they now have 15 with six regular-season games to be played.
New Paltz, NY – Russell Sage College’s baseball team collected a 13-7 win on the road Tuesday at SUNY-New Paltz. The Gators extend their win streak to three games as they are now 13-17 overall.

Albany, NY – Russell Sage College’s baseball team hosted the Golden Eagles of Brockport State on Wednesday afternoon in a non-conference match up as RSC’s head coach Nick Pontari took on his alma mater. Pontari’s Gators made a late game rally including a grand slam by sophomore Brendan Espinal in the bottom of the ninth inning, but fell 13-7.
