Riley, Schultz and Ackerman named ITA Scholar-Athletes

Skillman, NJ---Three members of The Sage Colleges' women's tennis team have been recognized by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) as ITA Scholar-Athletes for having a cumulative 3.5 grade point average or higher during the 2013-2014 academic year.

Named first-time honorees from Sage were senior Nicole Riley (Catskill, NY/Catskill), junior Kristen Ackerman (Rensselear, NY/Guilderland) and junior Katie Schultz (Wynantskill, NY/Averill Park).

All three were named to Sage's Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll in the fall and spring this year, while each was also named to the Skyline Conference Fall Scholar-Athlete Team for their academic prowess. Riley was named the recipient 2013-2014 Dean Sharon Robinson Senior Female Scholar-Athletes of the Year and was also named the Skyline Conference Scholar-Athlete of the Year in Women's Tennis, while also earning a spot on the league's all-star first team in 2013.
