Box Score

Yonkers, NY—Sage's women's lacrosse team travelled to the College of Mt. St. Vincent for a  Skyline Conference match on Wednesday afternoon held at Tibbetts Brook Park. The host Dolphins posted an 18-4 win to improve 4-7 overall and 2-4 in the league. The loss puts Sage at 4-8 overall and 3-4 in the conference.

The Dolphins held an 8-3 lead at the break and were able to hold the Gators' top scorer to just three goals on the afternoon. Sage's senior attacker Alexa Pajak (Earlton, NY/Academy of the Holy Names) finished with three goals in the match, while sophomore midfielder Melissa Spring (Penfield, NY/Penfield) added a goal.

Pajak, the Gators' top scorer this season, she has 44 goals and 11 assists for 55 points. She has already surpassed her season total from a year ago when she had 37 goals and five assists for 42 points to lead the team. She holds all of Sage's career scoring marks as she has 81 goals, 16 assists and 97 points, all active career bests for the young Gator program. Her feat is even more amazing as she has played in just 23 career games at Sage.

Sophomore Lindsay Millett (Ravena, NY/Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk) added an assist for the Gators in the match and now has 12 points, which is fourth highest on the team as she has three goals and nine assists.

Sage's goal defense was shared by sophomore Serena Heard (Malta, NY/Ballston Spa) and senior Courtney Reed (Mechanicville, NY/Mechanicville).  Heard started the action and allowed 12 goals with three saves in 41:30 minutes and suffered the loss. She shared time with Reed, who made three saves with six goals allowed in 18:30 minutes.

For the Dolphins, Kacie McCormack was the winner with her 10 saves in 60 minutes of work with four goals allowed.

Sage returns to action on April 13 hosting Ramapo College at 4:30 p.m. in a Skyline Conference match to be held at the Siena College Turf Field.
