NEW PALTZ, N.Y. – Russell Sage College Cross Country kicked off its season on Friday evening as they competed in the SUNY New Paltz Invitational. Five Gators finished in the top 20 in their respective races.

Junior Charisma Losee (Troy, NY/Lansingburgh) finished in ninth place in the women's race, running the 5k in 22:36.5, while freshman Stephanie Beyer (Lowville, NY/Lowville Academy) finished 20th, with a time of 28:22.6.

On the Men's side, junior Chris Pellegrini (Loudonville, NY/Colonie Central) placed tenth with a time of 26:06.0. Senior Jacob Haynes (Cambridge, NY/Cambridge Central) finished 14th in 26:36.0, and senior Isaac Langer (Hudson, NY/Taconic Hills) placed 19th, running the 6k in 28:56.3.

The Gators run again on Saturday, September 14 at the SUNY Oneonta Airfield Invitational.
