OSWEGO, N.Y. – Russell Sage College fell to SUNY Oswego 20-2 on Wednesday afternoon.
The host Lakers, which converted on more than 74 percent of their shot attempts, got the non-conference matinee out to a "running time" situation before the first quarter was over.
Defender Peggy Monti (Schenectady, NY/Schenectady), a grad student, and sophomore defender Alexis Crossman (Corinth, NY/Corinth) netted the RSC goals, while senior midfielder Maddison Walter (South Glens Falls, NY/South Glens Falls) registered an assist. Crossman contributed four draw controls, two ground balls, and a caused turnover, with Walter tallying four groundballs and a caused turnover.
In goal, freshman Olivia Brand (Little Falls, NY/Little Falls) and sophomore goalkeeper Summer Atchley (Ballston Spa, NY/Ballston Spa) combined to stop five SUNY Oswego (2-1) shots.
Attackers Mackenzie Winn and Madison Davis, both grad students, recorded two goals and five assists each to pace the Lakers.
Looking ahead, RSC (0-2) is back in action on Saturday, March 15 vs. Norwich. Start time at the ACP Athletic Complex is set for 2:00 PM.
