Robert Martin

At Sage:

• Robert (Robby) Martin was a Gator newcomer on the 2019 team. He capped his freshman season finishing the year as the team’s leading scorer with 53 points.
• He led Sage with his 34 assists after starting 14 of 16 games played. Martin also 1 game winning goal and four up goals along the way. His game-winning goal was in the team’s win over Elmira for their first Empire 8 victory in 2019.
• Tapped as a team captain in 2020, he opened the year making seven starts and leading the Gators in scoring once again.
• He had 28 points on 25 goals with 3 assists and also had the game-winner as Sage beat Cazenovia.
• He scored a goal in every single game in 2020, including five games with multiple goal efforts.
• He was selected as the Empire 8 Men’s Lacrosse Player of the Week on March 16 after he scored 10 goals in a 1-1 week for the Gators.
• To date, he leads the Gator career record book with his 81 career points and is first with 44 goals, first with 37 assists, and first in game-winning goals (2).
• He stands second with 21 career starts and is 5^th with 47 career ground balls.
  

Academics at Sage:

• He is majoring in environmental studies at Sage.
  

High School:

• A graduate of Saugerties High School, he excelled on both soccer and lacrosse.
• A team captain in lacrosse, he had 100 career goals and was a First-Team Section 9 Pick on Attack.
• He also helped his soccer and lacrosse team to a sectional semifinalist showing as well.

He is the son of Robert and Janice Martin.
