Title: Graduate Assistant Men's Basketball Coach

Guy Catz joins the Russell Sage College Men’s Basketball Coaching staff as a graduate assistant coach and is a newcomer with the 2021-2022 team. A 2012 graduate of California State University-Northridge, Catz is enrolled as a student in RSC’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program.

Catz has numerous certifications having earned his CPR, AED/First Aid certification in 2019 as well as holding a license as a massage therapist in 2008. He is also certified as an aquatic rehab instructor and has worked as both a physical therapy aide and massage therapist and fitness instructor at several facilities.

Head Coach Brian Barnes remarked, "We're thrilled to have Guy join our staff as a graduate assistant coach." Barnes continued, "Guy brings a tremendous amount of knowledge in fitness and nutrition and is someone who aligns well with our program core values.  We are excited to take full advantage of his expertise for our in-season strength and conditioning program to help us compete for an Empire 8 Championship."

In his spare time, Catz enjoys rock climbing. He has parlayed his skills into being a finalist in 2015 on American Ninja Warrior after also taking first place as a Ninja Athlete in the West Coast as part of the National Ninja League. In 2017, he was also a finalist on SUPERHUMAN on Fox in 2017.
