ALBANY, N.Y. – Russell Sage College junior guard Noah Girard (Glens Falls, NY/Glens Falls) was voted third-team All-Empire 8 Conference. Honorees were determined based upon voting by the league's head coaches.

Girard topped the Gators with 16.3 points per-game, good for seventh on the circuit. He shot 39.9 percent from the field, including 35.9 percent from beyond the arc, fifth-best in the Conference. The co-captain scored in double figures 23 times, with five 20+ point-performances. He had a season high 31 points in the November win at SUNY Poly and registered a double-double of 23 points and ten rebounds, six assists, four blocks and three steals in the January victory vs. Penn College of Technology.

Girard, who ranked second in the E8 by making 82.5 percent of his free throws, averaged 3.2 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 1.6 steals. He closed his campaign fifth in the E8 with 2.2 made three-pointers per-game.

The guard climbed up the RSC career record book this season. Girard, now seventh with 832 career points and fifth with 101 career steals, is the program leader with 110 made three pointers.

One member of each team was named that institution's representative on the 2023-24 E8 Men's Basketball Sportsmen of the Year Team. The Empire 8 Conference emphasizes that "Competing with Honor and Integrity" is an essential component of a student-athlete's experience in conjunction with an institution's educational mission. These honorees have distinguished themselves and consistently exhibit the critical traits as outstanding sportsmen.  Junior guard Marcus Gentile (Delmar, NY/Bethlehem Central/Utica) represented the Gators on the squad.
