  • Skylar Van Alstyne arrived at Sage in 2017 after attending LeMoyne College, where she earned Dean’s List honors.
  • A newcomer to the Gators last fall, she played in 47 sets with 19 kills, 18 digs and 14 total blocks. She connected for 14 setting assists with three aces in her 26 matches played in 2017.

 

Academics at Sage:

  • She is majoring in biology and pre-med at Sage.
  • She is a Dean’s List student and was awarded the Nancy Slack Award for excellence in science at Sage.

High School:

  • She was a three-sport standout at Maple Hill High School, excelling in volleyball, track and field, and bowling.
  • Named Patroon Conference MVP in volleyball and a Section 2 all-star as well as team captain.
  • Earned First Team Patroon Conference honors in track and well as field MVP and a team captain for the throwing team.
