
UTICA, N.Y. – Russell Sage College Track and Field took the short trip to Utica on Saturday to compete in the Blue and Orange Invitational, setting three new program records.
Senior David Adadjo (Nassau, NY/Columbia) placed 17th in the 60m dash, with a time of 7.20 seconds, breaking his own program record that he set earlier this year on 12/6 at . Adadjo also finished 4th in the 400m invitational in 51:49 seconds.
Junior Dylan Lawless (Slingerlands, NY) finished 32nd in the long jump with a jump of 5.95 meters, while senior Brandon Clarke (Freeport, NY) placed 41st in the shot put with a throw of 10.69 meters.
On the women's side, sophomore Alexius Smith (Cohoes, NY/Cohoes) finished 17th in the high jump with a jump of 1.4 meters to improve on her program standard. Senior Sarah Armenia (Saratoga Springs, NY/Shen) established a new program record in the shot put with a tthrow of 10.23 meters, good for a 23rd place finish.
Junior Alexis Arango (Albany, NY/Albany) placed 31st in the 400m with a time of 1:08.44, while freshman Stephanie Beyer (Lowville, NY/Lowville Academy) placed 35th in 1:14.56.
Looking ahead, the Gators return to the track next Saturday at the Cornell Invitational.
