Samantha Schmidt

At Sage:

• Samantha Schmidt was a starter in 15 of 16 games played as a newcomer to the 2017 Gator lineup.
• Added one goal in 2017.
• As a member of the 2018 team, she helped the Gators to a spot in the Empire 8 Playoffs, a Sage first.
• She added 4 assists having started 17 of 19 matches played in 2018 and was honored once as the Empire 8 Player of the Week as a sophomore.
• In 2019, she started 14 of 17 matches played and added one assist.
• Schmidt was selected to participate in the 2020 Career in Sports Forum in June.
• As a member of the team as a senior, she helped to lead the team to the program’s first Empire 8 Championship.
• A starter in all seven matches, she added one assist on the campaign. She was named to the 2021 Empire 8 Women’s Soccer All-Tournament Team after also earning a spot on the Empire 8 All-Conference First Team.
• She wraps her time as a Gator having played in 59 matches with 8 points on 1 goal with 6 assists.
• As she returns to the Gator lineup for 2020-2021, she has now played in 52 matches with seven career points on

Academics at Sage:

• Majoring in elementary education at Sage.

High School:

• A team captain at Mohonasen High School, Samantha Schmidt was an honorable mention all-star as a junior and senior.
• Led her team as a senior to the sectional championship crown in 2016.

Personal:

• She is the daughter of John and Tina Schmidt.
