Emily Parslow

At Sage:

  • As a rookie, Emily Parslow added Skyline Co-Rookie of the Year honors to her resume after she averaged 10.2 ppg in 27 starts. The rookie guard also buried 47 three-pointers and had a team-leading 91 assists. She was ranked nationally in four different categories including assists, minutes played, three-point field goals made (47) and attempted (165).
  • After missing the first three games of her sophomore season, Parlsow capped her second campaign with an impressive 11.6 ppg average. She added 94 assists with 39 steals and helped the team garner both the Skyline Conference Championship and an NCAA bid in 2016-2017.
  • Her career-highs include a 24 point performance against Utica (1/16/18) and 9 rebounds against Old Westbury (2/20/16), while also handing out nine assists in two different games.
  • Parslow capped her junior season with a selection to the Empire 8 All-Star Second Team, while finishing the season as the leading scorer with a personal-best 385 points. She also added a team-leading 73 baskets from three-point range and had an 81.1% free throw percentage. Parslow led the Gators with her 99 assists and averaged a team-best 35.9 minutes per game in 26 starts.
  • As a junior, she was the team’s high scorer 11 times, while finishing the season having played in 934 minutes to lead the Gators and broke the single-season mark with her 73 treys.
  • She has started 77 of 79 career games played and is poised to become the next 1,000 point scorer at Sage. She opens her senior campaign with 963 points and is the program’s seventh all-time leading scorer. She is currently second with her 170 career three-point field goals, while ranking fourth in career assists (290), 15th in career steals (112), and is 16th in career games played.  
  • As a senior, Parslow opened the new season collecting All-Tournament Team honors at the Plattsburgh State Cardinal Classic and is a team tri-captain this season.
  • She scored her 1,000th career point on November 20 at RPI and also broke the single-game record for most three-point baskets in a game as she burried 8 in the game.
  • Parslow was named the Empire 8 Women's Basketball Player of the Week on Nov. 26, 2018.

Academics at Sage:

  • She is majoring in physical education at Sage. She was named to the Sage Spring Scholar-Athlete Team as well as the 2015-2016 and 2016-2017 Skyline Conference Scholar-Athlete Team.
  • She was also honored with a selection to the Empire 8 Presidents’ List for her academic prowess and was recognized in the fall of 2018 by the Second and Seven Foundation for her outstanding work with Sage’s Chompers’ Reading Program and her involvement with SAAC.

High School:

  • Emily Parslow excelled at Fonda-Fultonville High School in soccer, basketball, and softball scholastically. A team captain in all three sports, she was basketball team MVP for four straight seasons and also earned MVP honors as a senior in softball. As a senior in basketball, she was also named to the All-State Fourth Team, while also earning Colonial Council All-Star First team honors as a junior and senior.
  • A High Honor Roll student, she was also named to the Principal’s List.

Personal:

The daughter of Charles and Deborah Parslow, she plans on becoming a state trooper after graduation from Sage. Her older brother, played baseball at RPI.
