Kiersten Duncan

At Sage:

• A member of the Sage softball team in 2016 and 2017, Kiersten Duncan helped lead the Gators to a pair of Skyline Conference Tournament runner-up finishes.
• As a rookie in 2016, she started 39 of 40 games played, while adding a .336 average with 38 hits and 27 RBIs.
• She connected for 20 extra-base hits including 17 doubles in 2016 with a .994 fielding percentage in 325 total chances and only committed two errors.
• Her 17 doubles in 2016 is the second highest total in a single-season at Sage, while her 12 in 2017 stands 11^th best.
• As a sophomore, she added a .277 batting average with 20 RBIs. Additionally, Duncan tacked on 15 extra-base hits with 12 doubles. She was also stellar in the field with a .993 fielding percentage with only two errors in her 269 total chances.
• In the fall of 2017, she was selected to attend the NCAA Leadership Forum in Washington, DC.
• As a junior captain, she batted .232 with 16 hits and a .333 slugging percentage. She had a .984 fielding percentage while adding 177 putouts in 24 games played in 2018.
• She opens the 2019 season having started 103 of 105 career games played and boasts a .289 career batting average. Duncan opens her senior season ranked 25^th in career games played, 17^th with 301 career at-bats and 22^nd with 87 career hits. She is also 8^th with her 33 career doubles and 19^th with 4 career home runs and 19^th with 54 career RBIs.

Academics at Sage:

• She is a nursing major at Sage and has also excelled in the classroom and is also majoring in Spanish.
• She was selected to the Empire 8 Presidents’ List three times, while also earning a spot in the Sage Athletic Honor Society in the spring of 2018.
• Duncan is also a Sage Scholar-Athlete honoree, having also earned a selection to the Nursing Honor Society.
• Duncan is active in the Spanish Club at Sage and is the Vice President of the club.

High School:

• She graduated from Taconic Hills High School after excelling in field hockey, basketball, and softball. A First Team all-star in softball, she helped the field hockey team to three Patroon Championship titles and was a two-time all-state performer. She was an honor society performer in the classroom.

Personal:

• She is the daughter of Frank and Amiee Duncan.
