A two-year letterwinner for the Gators, Cory Gransbury was a two-sport athlete at Cairo-Durham High School, where he lettered in men's soccer and volleyball. A former team MVP for both sports, he was a first team all-star as well in soccer and volleyball. In volleyball, he was part of the 2010 squad that went 21-0 and captured the regional, sectional, and Patroon Conference Championships. The Scholar-Athlete of the Year as a senior in 2010, he was also the recipient of the RPI Medal and an High Honor Roll student.

At Sage, he has the Gators to Skyline Conference Tournament appearances in both 2011 and 2012 and now has played in 37 matches with 124 career digs. He was named the team’s Most Improved Player in 2012, while playing with his older brother, Ryan, who was named the recipient of the team’s Spirit Award.

He is majoring in physical education at Sage and is a Sage Scholar-Athlete honoree.
