Lloyd James

Lloyd James joins the Gator men’s soccer coaching staff this fall after having worked previously with Coach Pasic at Castleton University during the 2018-2019 academic year. An assistant coach with the Spartans, James has an extensive international background having spent several years coaching in Jamaica.

He led the Clark’s Town Football Club to the 2015 Trelawny Major League Championship as the head coach. He won the 2007 Trelawny Division I Golden Boot award while playing for the 2007 Frontline Football Club, and also led the G.C. Foster College program to three intercollegiate championship titles (2008, 2009, and 2010).

He has also had stints working with the SUNT-Adirondack College Athletic Department as an intern, while also assisting as a physical education teacher at the Bridgeport High School (Portmore, Jamaica). He earned his bachelor of science degree in physical education and sport from G.C. Foster College in 2012 and achieved his master of science degree in athletic leadership from Castleton University in 2019.

James has also distinguished himself having served in the U.S. Army National Guard since 2019.
