Sage Career Stats

As a rookie, guard Troy Nwanna, was named the recipient of the Most Improved Award for his efforts on and off the basketball court. Nwanna came on strong for the Gators as the season progressed. He started the team’s season finale and tallied nine points with seven rebounds. Overall on the year, he played in 23 games and connected on a 4.8 ppg average with 2.2 rpg. He averaged 13.5 minutes a game and had 30 assists with 14 steals.

He is a graduate of Mercersburg Academy, where he captured varsity letters in basketball, football, lacrosse, and track and field. A team captain in basketball as a senior, he was voted the team's Most Improved Player as a junior. He was also a gold medalist in track in the 4 x 100 and 4 x 400 relays.

At Sage he is active on campus. He serves as the president of the Law and Society Club, while participating as a member of SALANA. He is an accomplished scholar-athlete having earned a spot on the 2011-2012 Skyline Scholar-Athlete Team. His brother, Cody Addison is on the basketball team at Colby-Sawyer College, while his cousin, Alvin Onyewuenyi plays soccer at Johns Hopkins University. He is majoring in business administration at Sage and was named to the Sage Spring Scholar-Athlete Team as well last year. He is the son of Bright Nwanna and Glenda Presbury.
