Annandale-on-Hudson, NY – The Sage Colleges' women's volleyball team travelled to Bard College on Wednesday night for a non-conference match with the Raptors. Sage posted a 3-0 win (25-23, 25-7, 25-6) and improve to 17-4 overall, while Bard is 2-22 on the year. The Gators have extended their overall win streak to 14 games.
Sage's senior tri-captain Helen Putriment (Troy, NY/Cobleskill-Richmondville) added 11 kills with four digs, while junior tri-captain Mickey Mango (Saratoga Springs, NY/Saratoga Springs) also finished with 11 kills. Mango continues to add to her career block totals as she has 182 and stands No. 5 on the career list as a Gator.
Senior Rachel Martin (Troy, NY/Troy) connected for six kills, while sophomore outside hitter Siena Wilder (Ballston Spa, NY/Burnt Hills Ballston Lake) racked up three aces and 12 digs. Wilder currently leads Division III in aces and now has 70 aces on the year.
Sophomore setter and team tri-captain Rachel Liebig (Hartford, NY/Hartford) led the Gators with her 24 setting assists and added three digs with an ace.
Sage returns to action on October 11 travelling to SUNY-Old Westbury for a Skyline Conference tri-match with the host Panthers and Sarah Lawrence College.
