Renee Martin

At Sage:

• A newcomer to the Gator lineup in 2017, Renee Martin followed in the footsteps of her sister, Rachel Martin who led the 2014 team to the NCAA Tournament after winning the Skyline Conference Championship.
• As a rookie with the Gators, Renee played in 19 matches in 26 sets and had 13 kills with five block assists.
• In 2018 she was joined on the team by her sister Rachel as she returned as the assistant women’s volleyball assistant coach, while also wearing the hat as the men’s head coach for the Gators in 2019.
• As a sophomore, Martin played in 29 matches with a personal-best 82 kills and added 24 digs. She added 32 total blocks and was fifth on the team in the category as well and finished the campaign with 100.0 points.
• As a junior, she played in 66 sets in 25 matches with 52 kills. She added 16 total blocks with 18 digs. Entering her junior season, she has played in 100 career matches at Sage.
• She has now played in 73 matches and 166 sets with 147 career kills. She has 43 setting assists with 47 digs and 53 total blocks and should move into the Top 20 performances in the Gator career block category as a senior.

Academics at Sage:

• She is majoring in health sciences at Sage with a minor in psychology.
• She is active on campus with Sage’s SAAC and the Chompers’ Reading Program.

High School:

• A graduate of Troy High School, Martin excelled in volleyball and was a captain. She also earned second-team all-conference acclaim and graduated with high honors.

Personal:

• She is the daughter on Steven and Susan Martin.
