Megan Ryder

 

At Sage:              

  • A transfer from Fulton Montgomery Community College, Megan Ryder arrived at Sage in 2018 and served as a member of the 2018 Gator Women’s Volleyball Leadership Council.
  • In her first season at Sage. She played in 100 sets in 29 matches and racked up 101 kills with 33 aces which led the Gators. She was also the team leader with her 393 digs and average 3.93 digs per set as well in 2018.
  • While at FMCC, she was selected as the Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year and earned an award for academic excellence and was a third-team all-region tournament pick as well as team captain and MVP.

 

Academics at Sage:

  • She is majoring in psychology at Sage.
  • A Sage Scholar-Athlete, she also earned acclaim as a Dean’s List student and was recognized by the Empire 8 as a member of the Presidents’ List.
  • She is also active on campus involved with Sage’s SAAC and the Chomper’s Reading program.

 

High School:

  • A graduate of Broadalbin Perth High School, Ryder excelled in volleyball and basketball.
  • She was a team captain and defensive player of the year, while also earned second team all-league honors.
  • Ryder added third team all-state tournament.

Personal:

  • She is the daughter of Michael and Salleane Ryder.
