Mickaela Buzzy

 

At Sage:

  • A newcomer to the Gator roster in 2018, Mickaela Buzzy arrives as Sage with a bright start to her career.
  • In a contest on September 9, she recorded 19 saves, which is tied for the second most saves in a contest for the women’s soccer program. She was nominated for the Empire 8 Defensive Player of the Week for her play.

 

Academics at Sage:

  • She is majoring in health sciences at Sage.

 

High School:

  • A two-sport standout at Oneonta High School, she excelled in soccer and basketball.
  • A team captain for both sports, she was also honored as a Section IV all-star.
  • Academically, she also excelled and was named to the National Honor Society and the National Technical Honor Society.

 

Personal:

  • The daughter of Brett Buzzy and Heidi Hofbauer-Buzzy, she is no stranger to intercollegiate athletics.
  • Her mother is the Head Athletic Trainer at Hartwick College and her father played for RIT leading the soccer team to the NCAA semifinals one year and the NCAA Finals as well.
  • She is also a USSF referee.
