Monica Koralus

At Sage:

• A two-sport athlete at Sage, having also excelled in women’s lacrosse at Sage.
• As a rookie in women’s soccer in 2013, she started 13 of 15 games played and tallied three points on a goal and an assist.
• She played in 18 games on the pitch in 2014 and added 1 goal with a pair of assists. She connected for the game-winning goal as Sage beat SUNY-Canton, 3-0. 
• Played in 18 games with 9 starts as a junior with 3 goals and an assist for 7 points. Helped Gators to program’s best record in school history as well as a share of the program’s first Skyline Conference regular-season title after a 14-4-1 overall and an 8-1 conference record.
• Has played in 51 career games in soccer with 5 goals and 4 assists for 14 career points entering 2016.
• In women’s lacrosse, she was named the team’s Gator of the Year in 2016 after rewriting the program’s scoring records as a junior.
• Named to the 2016 Skyline Conference Women’s Lacrosse All-Star First Team.
• In women's lacrosse, Koralus became just the second Sage player to earn Skyline Conference First Team honors.
• Koralus' record-setting performance helped her earn the award, which follows on the heels of her selection as the team's Gator of the Year award, as the team's most valuable player. She shattered most of the program's career and single-season marks along the way. She led the Gators with 77 points on 64 goals and 15 assists, all of which are single-season marks. She is also the program's career leader in all three categories as she has 149 points on a record 113 goals and 36 assists, while also holding the career mark for most draw controls after adding a single-season record 64 this season to elevate her career total to 118.

Academics at Sage:

• She is majoring in physical therapy at Sage.

High School:

• A graduate of Millbrook High School, Koralus was a three-sport performer in high school, excelling in soccer, basketball, and lacrosse.
• A team captain in soccer, she was also voted the Most Athletic Award recipient. She also earned a spot on the Section 9 Lacrosse All-Star Team.   
• In soccer, she was part of the 2009 National Soccer Hall of Fame championship team, while also leading her 2011 team to the MHAL Championship after leading her team to four straight sectional finals appearances. She also helped her lacrosse team to the sectional finals as a senior.

Personal:

• She is the daughter of Leszek and Sophie Koralus. Her father played semi-professional soccer in Poland and Germany as a goalie.
