Nicole Maher brings an impressive resume with numerous awards into her senior season as she will serve as a team captain this fall.

As a rookie for the Gators in 2012, she was named the Gator of the Year. The honor came on the heels of her other rookie awards. They included a selection as the 2012 Skyline Conference Women’s Soccer Rookie of the Year as well as a spot on the Skyline Conference All-Star First Team.

Additional awards over the course of her first season included a selection to the Alfred University Saxon All-Tournament Team, as well as two selections as the Skyline Rookie of the Week and one posting on the Skyline Weekly Honor Roll.

As a sophomore, she helped the 2012 Gators pick up the team's sixth straight Skyline Conference Tournament berth and by season’s end, Maher had tallied a team-best 13 goals and six assists for 32 points. She had three game-winning goals and four multiple-goal games in making 16 starts for the Gators. In addition, on four separate occasions, she had five or more points in a match. Overall on the season, she also ranked nationally in several offensive categories. She was No. 54 in Division III in points per game (2.0) and No. 70 with her 0.813 goals per game average. She was also a two-time conference Rookie of the Week honoree and finished the season ranked fourth in the league in goals.

In 2013, she repeated as the team’s top scorer with 11 points on five goals and an assist and had three game-tying goals.

A 2014 team co-captain, she poured in a 27 points on 10 goals with a team-best seven assists. She had three game-winning goals as well and earned one selection to the Skyline Conference Weekly Honor Roll in late September.

Entering the 2015 campaign, Maher is making her move on the program’s career scoring list. She brings 28 career goals and 14 career assists into the year, while having played in 50 games. She starts the year at the No. 4 spot in career goals, while standing No. 5 in career assists and No. 3 in career points. Having played in 50 career games as well, she may move into the Top 10 in career games played as well by season’s end.

She has 18 career goals and stand No. 9 on the all-time career list. She has 43 career points and starts the 2014 campaign No. 9 all-time on the career points list as well.

Scholastically, she earned 11 varsity letters at Saint Dominic, and boasts a long list of accomplishments on her scholastic resume. She excelled in soccer, lacrosse, and basketball scholastically. Among her many awards, she was a three-year team captain in both soccer and lacrosse. She was the Most Outstanding Player of the League in 2012 for the NSCHGAA, while earning team MVP honors twice as well as team's most improved status in 2008.

In lacrosse, she was also a two-time recipient of the NSCHGAA Sportsmanship Award, while also winning the Eric Jensen Award twice (2008, 2011). A Timothy Byrne Scholarship recipient in 2010, she led the lacrosse team to back-to-back NSCHGAA League Championships in 2011 and 2012.

A member of the National Honor Society, she was also placed on the Spanish Honor Society as well the Art Honor Society as well as earning acclaim with a spot on the Principal's List.

She is majoring in biology at Sage and is the daughter of Nancy Maher.
