A 14-game starter as a rookie at Sage last season, Melissa Spring returns to the soccer team with considerable experience already under her belt.

She is a former stand-out at both Penfield High School and Webster Thomas, where she was a team captain. While at Penfield, her team won the sectionals and the regionals, while finishing third in the state in the Section AA tournament.

Spring, who also was a starter on Sage's women's lacrosse team last season, is majoring in graphic design at Sage. She is the daughter of Thomas and Amy Spring.
