Ellen Abbott

At Sage:

• Ellen Abbott arrived at Sage in 2016 after attending Hudson Valley Community College.
• The 2016 season saw her finish the year as the third leading scorer for the women’s lacrosse teams. She played in 14 games with 21 points on 17 goals with 4 assists. She led the team with her 39 ground ball pickups, while contributing 22 caused turnovers.  She also had 13 draw controls last season with 55 shots on goal. As a rookie, she helped the Gators were also ranked nationally in 2016 with 11.07 draws per game average and stood No. 22 in Division III with 12.13 caused turnovers and helped the squad record five wins on the season, another Sage first.
• As a member of the 2017 squad, she helped the team earn the program’s first post-season appearance after a record-setting season with four conference wins and seven overall victories.
• An injury shortened season saw her start five games and collect four goals on the 2017 campaign five ground

Academic at Sage:

• A Dean’s List student at both HVCC and Sage, Abbott is a nursing major at Sage. She was named to the 2017 Empire 8 Presidents’ List for academic excellence.

High School:

• She is a graduate of Columbia High School and excelled in both field hockey and lacrosse scholastically. A First-Team All Suburban Council field hockey player, she also served as a team captain for both field hockey and lacrosse.

Personal:

• She is the daughter Thomas and Mary Abbott.
