A veteran leader for Sage’s women’s lacrosse program, Jackie St. Pierre returns for the 2017 campaign after establishing several of Sage’s career goalkeeping marks as a junior. Sage’s career leader for wins, she brings a 10 career wins into the 2017 campaign, while also owning the career mark for saves with 423. She has averaged 10.57 saves per game in 40 games played in net for the team and a 14.99 career goals against average as well.
A year ago, she played all 15 games in goal with a 13.68 goals against average, while racking up 137 saves. She went 5-10 in goal and finished the 2016 season ranked nationally in four goal keeping statistics. She was ranked 59th in saves per game average after record 9.13 per game on the season and was also 87th in saves.
Named a Skyline Conference All-Star Second Team performer in 2015, St. Pierre made a personal-best 20 saves in the 2015 season finale as Sage faced SUNY-Old Westbury. On the year, she was ranked second in the Skyline Conference with her 11.77 saves per game average, while racking up a league-leading 153 saves. She was fourth in the league with her .440 saves percentage and finished the campaign with a 17.54 GAA.
St. Pierre went 2-10 with a 17.54 GAA, she was also ranked nationally in saves per game (No. 10, 11.77). She was also ranked No. 26 in saves (153) and No. 113 in saves percentage (.440). She broke the single-season saves record with her 153 saves, and also etched her name into the record book for most career wins (5) at Sage, a mark she still is adding to this season as a senior.
As a Gator rookie, she started all 12 games in net and was part of the team’s record-setting lineup in the 2014 finale as Sage broke the single-game scoring mark with 21 goals as they beat the Mariners, 21-9. Sage finished the year with a record of 4-8 as the four victories also tied a program-mark for most wins a season set by the 2013 Gators.
St. Pierre also connected for 16 ground ball pickups in her 655 minutes of work in net as he 133 saves in a second ranks No. 2 all-time in season records. Her saves percentage is also No. 2 in single-season performances, while her three wins is tied for the most in a year. She was also among the national NCAA Division III statistical leaders as she was ranked No. 24 in Division III with her 11.08 saves per game average, while also being ranked in overall saves (133) and saves percentage (.463).
A graduate of Averill Park High School, Jackie St. Pierre excelled in lacrosse scholastically. A participant in the Exceptional Senior Game, she is a former team captain and a two-year varsity letterwinner in lacrosse. At Sage, she was honored as the 2014 Gator Award winner as the Most Outstanding Player during her rookie season.
She is majoring in public policy, Advocacy and Civil Engagement at Sage and is the daughter of David and Michele St. Pierre.
