Kristen Silk

At Sage:

• A two-sport performer at Sage, she is also a member of the women’s soccer team as well as Sage’s softball team.
• As a rookie in soccer, she made one start in 14 appearances. She added 4 points on a goal and 2 assists.
• As a newcomer to both the soccer and softball teams at Sage, she helped both teams earn Skyline Conference Tournament appearances.
• In 20217 in soccer, she added 10 points on five goals, while playing in all 16 matches.
• On the softball field in 2017, she played and started all 41 games with a .235 batting average.
• At the plate, she totaled 24 hits, 26 runs, one double, two home runs, 10 RBI’s, 16 walks, two sacrifice flies and three sacrifice hits with a .235 batting average. The freshman ended the year with a .304 slugging percentage and a .355 on-base percentage.
• Silk’s strongest offensive performance came in a 24-2 win over Mount Saint Vincent. The centerfielder was 2-2 with three runs, one home run, five RBI’s and one stolen base.
• As a rookie, she led the Gators in walks and sacrifice flies while ranking second on the team in runs, stolen bases and sacrifice hits. She was also third on the team in home runs while leading Sage freshmen in runs, home runs, walks, on-base percentage, stolen bases, sacrifice hits and sacrifice flies.
• On the softball diamond, she started 16 of 21 games played in 2018 with a 4-4 effort on the base paths and had a .920 fielding percentage.
• In softball, she has now played in 62 games with 57 starts and has a perfect career stolen base percentage being a perfect 21-21. She is 10^th all-time in stolen bases and will make a run at the program’s career stolen base mark set in 2018 by her older sister, Alexa Silk, who capped her career with 66 stolen bases.
• This past fall, she helped the women’s soccer team garner their first post-season bid as a member of the Empire 8 Conference after adding three goals in 19 matches played.

 Academics at Sage:

• She is majoring in health sciences with a path physical therapy at Sage.
• A Dean’s List student, she was named to the Skyline Conference Scholar-Athlete Team in the fall in soccer and in the spring in softball as a rookie.
• As a sophomore, she earned a selection to the fall and spring Empire 8 Presidents’ List and was once again honored with a posting on the 2018 Fall Team. She is also a Sage Scholar-Athlete Honoree and is very active in Sage’s SAAC.

High School:

•  A three sport athlete at Greenville Central High School, Silk played tennis, softball and basketball.
• A two-year softball captain, Silk was a three-time League All-Star and a Section II All-Star.
• She led her team to a Patroon Conference Championship and a Section II Class C Championship.
• Silk also helped Greenville soccer to a Section II Co-Championship.
• Silk was a four-time scholar-athlete and Principals High Honor Roll. She graduated fifth in her class.

 Personal:

• Kristen is the daughter of James and Jennifer Silk, and sister to Sage softball’s Alexa Silk (2014-present).
