Katy Rimawi

At Sage:

•           Katy Rimawi has excelled in two sports at Sage having played four season for the volleyball program and three seasons of softball entering the 2018 campaign.

•           She was named 2015-2016 recipient of Aggie Stillman Perseverance Award for her strength and perseverance in overcoming tremendous personal obstacles.

•           She was selected as a team captain for the 2016 volleyball season. She amassed 92 career aces, 210 kills, and 572 digs in her time on the volleyball court and was a candidate for the 2016 CoSIDA Academic All-District Volleyball Team. Rimawi finished the 2016 season with her personal-best numbers having racked up 86 kills with 46 aces and 282 digs. She ranked nationally with her 46 aces on the year.

•           She played in 112 sets in 2015 with 79 kills and 37 aces. Added 261 digs with 10 blocks and 124 points in 2015.

•           As a sophomore in 2014, she worked in 16 matches and played in 23 sets with 31 kills and had a .212 attack percentage. She added 17 digs with a 1.35 kills per set average.

•           In her first campaign as a Gator on the softball diamond, she played in 14 matches and tallied 14 kills with 12 digs in 21 sets played. She added two block assists and had a .867 serve percentage in 2013.

•           In softball as a senior, she was named to the 2016 Skyline Conference Softball All-Star First Team. Her outstanding play on the softball diamond also earned her a sport on the 2016 NFCA All-Region Third Team.

•           A member of the 2017 softball squad, she earned her second all-conference honor after being tapped for the Second Team All-Skyline. The third baseman finished the year with 37 hits, 26 RBI's, 23 runs, 15 walks, nine doubles, nine stolen bases, two home runs and one triple with a .291 batting average. Rimawi was the third most difficult batter in the Skyline to strikeout.

•           She opens the 2018 campaign poised to make some additional runs at the Gator record book. The infielder is currently ranked 4th in RBI's (91), 6th in runs (88) 7th in home runs (13), 8th in hits (121), 9th in doubles (26) and 9th in walks (37). She has played in 117 games at Sage with a .336 batting average and a .522 career slugging percentage.

Academics at Sage:

•             As an undergraduate at Sage, she earned a degree in psychology. She was honored with selections to the Dean's List and Sage's Scholar-Athlete Team, while also earning multiple selections to the Skyline Conference Scholar-Athlete Team in both the fall with volleyball and the spring with softball. She is pursuing her graduate degree in occupational therapy. She was named to the 2017 Fall Empire 8 Presidents’ List.

High School:

• A former three-sport start at Ballston Spa High School, excelled in volleyball, basketball, and softball. A volleyball team MVP, she was part of the team that participated in the sectional tournament. In softball, she served as a team captain. She was also named MVP at a number of district tournaments over the course of her scholastic career.

Personal:

• She is the daughter of Lisa Rimawi.
