Ryan Jennings
At Sage:
- Ryan Jennings arrived at Sage in 2018 after starting his college experience at the College of St. Elizabeth’s in the fall of 2017.
- As a newcomer to the Gator program, he worked in 27 matches with 20 starts. He added 490 setting assists with a .444 setting percentage.
- He had 8 aces with 11 kills in 91 sets played. Jennings led the Gators in 2018 with his 5.38 setting assists per set average and had 95 digs with 6 block assists.
- Jennings had a strong showing for the Gators in 2019 having led the Gators with his 628 setting assists in 27 matches played. He also picked up a .501 setting assists percentage with 33 kills, and 29 aces.
- He also collected 83 digs and 70.0 points in 2019 and finished the season with a 7.30 setting assist per set average, which was 8th best in the UVC. His 0.34 aces per set average was also 10th in the UVC last season.
- As the Gators’ primary setter, Jennings added 578 setting assists in 22 matches played. He also racked up 16 aces with 77 digs and 39 kills. He capped his junior year moving to the No. 2 spot in Sage’s career setting assists list as he now has 1,696.
- As a junior, Jennings earned a spot on the 2020 Empire 8 Men’s Volleyball All-Conference Honorable Mention Team.
- He is also second at Sage in career assist percentage with a .470 percentage, while also ranking ninth with 53 career aces and 10th with 691 career service attempts. He finished the 2020 season ranked fifth in the UVC with his 7.71 setting assists per set average and was ranked 52nd in Division III as well.
- He is looking to continue making his presence felt in the record book at Sage as he opens his senior season ranking ninth in aces with 53, as well as second in career assist percentage, second in setting assists per set and second in setting assists.
- Jennings opens the 2021 campaign having played in 76 matches and 252 sets as a Gator. He has 83 career kills with 255 digs, 38 total blocks and 156.5 points.
Academics at Sage:
- He is a psychology major at Sage and earned acclaim as a member of the Empire 8 Presidents’ List and the Sage Scholar-Athlete Team in 2018, 2019 and 2020.
- He works as an ambassador in the Sage Admission’s Office.
- Jennings was elected President of the Student Government Association for 2020-2021.
High School:
- Ryan Jennings is a graduate of North Brunswick Township High School, he excelled on the volleyball court earning all-state third team honors.
- He was a two-time team captain and was named to the all-area second team and the all-county team twice. Active in student government, he was a two-time physical education and health award winner.
