A returning letterwinner, Shane Wenz played in 80 sets as a Gator rookie. He added an impressive 223.0 points along the way in 2017 with 163 kills. He also picked up 16 aces to go with his team-best 66 total blocks. His numbers from 2017 rank third in single-season solo blocks (22) and seventh in total blocks, while his 0.82 blocks per set average is 6th best as well for the single-season record book at Sage.
He was named the Skyline Conference Rookie of the Week once (2/27/17) as well on the season.
