At Sage:

A two-year letterwinner at Sage, has already played in 67 matches as a Gator.

As a Gator newcomer, he helped the team advance to the 2016 Skyline Championship semi-finals. The middle hitter was the Skyline Rookie of the Week in week one and to the winter Skyline All-Sportsmanship Team. He played in 116 sets over 35 matches and recorded 0.62 kills/set, 1.00 assists/set, 0.16 aces/set, 1.00 points/set, 0.56 digs/set and 0.45 blocks/set while totaling 72 kills, .191 hitting percentage, 116 assists, 18 aces, 119.5 points, 65 digs, .915 reception percentage and 52 blocks. Laverty was first on the team in block assists (45), second in blocks and blocks/set and third in solo blocks (seven), assists and assists.

Last season, Laverty played in 32 matches, appearing in 77 sets with a 1.17 kills per set average. He started 14 matches and had 46.0 points on the year.
