  • MacArthur is a three-year captain for the men’s volleyball program (2015, 2016, 2017).

  • After three seasons, MacArthur is ranked in the career record books in solo blocks (7th, 18), block assists (8th, 18), blocks (8th, 77), aces (8th, 42), points (9th, 395.5) and kills (9th, 306).

  • He was a member of the 2016 team that made it to the Skyline Championship semifinals.

  • MacArthur played in 112 sets over 35 matches.   • As a junior, he added a personal-best against Daniel Webster in a 3-2 loss. He scored a season-high 13.0 points on nine kills, five blocks and an ace with three digs. He added a career-high four aces twice against Sarah Lawrence (3-0 W). His best defensive efforts were against NJCU in a 3-2 loss (nine digs, two blocks) and Daniel Webster in a 3-2 loss (three digs, five blocks).

  • As a sophomore, he played in 65 sets over 20 matches. The outside hitter recorded 1.23 kills/set, 0.23 assists/set, 0.22 aces/set, 1.74 points/set, 0.89 digs/set and 0.43 blocks/set while totaling 80 kills, .078 hitting percentage, 15 assists, 14 aces, 113.0 points, 58 digs, and 28 blocks. He was third on the team in kills/set, aces/set, blocks, blocks/set and points/set.

  • MacArthur’s strongest scoring performance his sophomore year was in a 3-1 win over Bard. The outside hitter scored a season-best 11.0 points on eight kills, two aces and one block with four digs. He knotted a season-high four aces in a 3-0 win over Brooklyn. His best defensive effort was against Keuka in a 3-2 loss (eight digs, five blocks).

  • The sophomore put his name in the Sage single-match record book in three-set blocks (3rd, six at Ramapo) and solo blocks (7th, three at Keuka & Ramapo).

  • As a rookie, he played in 70 sets over 26 matches. The middle blocker recorded 1.16 kills/set, 0.07 assists/set, 0.06 aces/set, 1/36 points/set, 0.47 digs/set and 0.24 blocks/set while totaling 81 kills, five assists, four aces, 95.5 points, 33 digs and 17 blocks. MacArthur was Sage’s lone freshman.

  • MacArthur’s strongest scoring performance his rookie year was in a 3-2 loss against Southern Vermont. He scored 12.0 points on 12 kills with three digs. The middle hitter’s strongest defensive effort came in a 3-0 win over Purchase (six digs, one block).

  • He is majoring in physical education.

High School:

  • A graduate of Taconic Hills Central High School, MacArthur played  football, soccer, volleyball, and track.

  • A team captain in volleyball as a junior and senior, MacArthur was a Section II Class C Second Team All-Star and the recipient of the sportsmanship award. He was also voted the Most Improved Player and the team MVP in volleyball.

  • He also served as the track team captain during the 2013 campaign, while earning the Coaches’ Award in track.
