Tapped as a team captain for the second straight season, Chris MacArthur brings experience and leadership to the Gators this year. A two-year letterwinner, he has played in 46 matches over the course of his career.

As a rookie, he played in 70 sets and averaged 1.16 kills per set. He added 33 digs with 17 total blocks and finished his first season with 95.5 points. Last season as a team co-captain, MacArthur’s season was injury shortened and he played in just 20 matches. He tallied 80 kills with 14 aces and added 58 digs. He also connected for 28 total blocks, including 10 solo blocks.

A stand-out performer at Taconic Hills Central High School, he arrived at Sage with an extensive resume having played football, soccer, volleyball, and track. A team captain in volleyball as a junior and senior, he also served as the track team captain during the 2013 campaign. A Section II Class C Second Team All-Star and the recipient of the sportsmanship award, MacArthur was also voted the Most Improved Player and the team MVP in volleyball, while earning the Coaches’ Award in track.

An honor roll and merit student, he is the son of Bonnie and Robert MacArthur and he is majoring in physical education at Sage.
