Robert (Casey) Fitzpatrick returns after an impressive rookie season. He earned a spot on the 2015 Skyline Conference All-Star Second Team at libero. As a newcomer with the Gators last season, he led Sage with 243 digs. He had 118.5 points on the season having played in all 88 sets in 27 matches. Fitzpatrick added 97 kills with 37 setting assists. He had a .934 reception percentage as well with eight total blocks. He averaged 2.66 digs per set and finished the season No. 3 in the Skyline Conference with his digs per set average.
Over his rookie season, he was also named to the Skyline Conference Weekly Honor Roll twice as a newcomer and was nationally ranked (No. 21) with his digs per set (2.66).
A two-sport star in both volleyball and soccer at Haverhill High School, Fitzpatrick he earned all-state honorable mention honors in volleyball after also garnering MVC all-conference status as the team’s MVP. A two-year captain in volleyball, he helped the squad to the state semifinals after winning the MVC Conference Championship. In soccer, he was an MVC all-star and a team captain.
He is majoring in business at Sage and is the son of Bob Fitzpatrick and Megan Staudt. Active on campus, he is a member of Sage’s Student Athlete Advisory Committee (S.A.A.C.), he was also placed on 2015 Skyline Conference Scholar-Athlete Team and earned Dean’s List acclaim in the fall of 2015.
Fitzpatrick was ranked No. 2 in U-18 beach volleyball in New England in 2014.
