Ryan Fairweather

At Sage:

Will serve the Gators as a team captain once again in 2018 after earning the same distinction as a junior.
Coming off an impressive season that saw the defender earn Gator of the Year honors after adding two goals and an assist in 18 starts. Led the team to the 2017 Empire 8 Championship match after assisting on the game-winning goal in the semifinal win over Nazareth.
Earned Empire 8 Second Team All-Star status in 2017 as a defender.
Helped the 2016 Sage men’s soccer team to a spot in the Skyline Conference Championship.
Tapped by the Gators as the 2016 Defensive Player of the Year.
Played in 19 games as a junior with 5 points on 2 goals with an assist.
Member of the 2015 regular-season and tournament Skyline Championship team that went to the program’s first NCAA Division III Tournament.
Played in eight games after an injury stricken rookie season. The freshman scored one goal against SUNY-Old Westbury on one shot.
As a member of the soccer team, he has now played in 45 games with 12 career points (5g, 2a).
Also played the spring of 2016 as a member of Sage’s men’s golf team.

Academics at Sage:

He is majoring in business administration with a concentration on sports marketing.
He is a Dean’s List student and has earned five selections to the Sage Scholar-Athlete Team as well as back to back spots on the 2015 and 2016 Skyline Conference Scholar-Athlete Team.
Last year, he was also cited as a member of the Empire 8 Presidents’ List as well.
Member of Sigma Beta Delta Business Honor Society and was a finalist in the NYS Business Plan Competition.
He is very active in Sage’s SAAC and a regular volunteer in numerous community service projects, especially the Chompers’ Reading program.

High School:

Attended Minisink Valley High School earning seven letter in both golf and men’s soccer.
Served two season as captain of soccer team and led three teams to the Section 9 playoffs.
Earned Section 9 All-Coaches First Team honors and was tapped as the HOBY Leadership Award winner.
He is a member of the National Honor Society.
