Fran Larose

At Sage:

  • Named the Gators' 2018-2019 Team Captain.
  • Frane Larose is back on the basketball court at Sage after a pre-season injury kept him off the hardwood in 2017-2018.
  • A 20-game starter for Sage in 2016-17, Larose is a former two-sport student-athlete at Sage having also excelled as a member of the men’s track and field team in 2017.
  • He was honored with a selection to the 2016-2107 NABC Honors Court for his academic successes.
  • On the court, he played in 23 games in his first campaign at Sage with a 5.9 ppg average, while adding 53 assists, 29 steals and a 2.5 rpg average on the 2016-2017 season.
  • As a newcomer in track, he was selected as the Gator of the Year for 2017 as the team’s Most Valuable Performer.
  • Larose arrived at Sage after two seasons playing at North Country Community College, where he started 59 of 62 games played.
  • Added 990 career points, while hauling in 198 rebounds with 133 steals and 311 assists.
  • Averaged 16.4 ppg in 2014-2015 with 3.0 rpg and 509 points.
  • Backed that season up with a 15.5 ppg average and 3.4 rpg with 151 assists and 54 steals.

Academics at Sage:

  • Frane graduated from Sage in 2018 with a degree in business administration with a concentration on sports management. He is currently a graduate student at Sage.  
  • He was selected to the 2016-2017 Skyline Conference Scholar-Athlete Team and is a Dean’s List student at Sage.
  • He is also involved with Sage’s S.A.A.C. and was a resident assistant in 2017-2018.

High School:

  • Attended North Miami Beach Senior High School, earning letters in both basketball and track and field.
  • Two-year team captain in basketball with a selection as the Outstanding Athlete of the Year citation and a selection to the Lake Mary Prep All-Tournament Team.
