Cobleskill, NY---The Sage Colleges' women's soccer team traveled to SUNY-Cobleskill for a non-conference match on Tuesday and came away with a convincing 7-1 win. The Gators improve to 5-6-1 overall, while the Fighting Tigers drop to 3-11.
Sage's rookie Nicole Maher (Glen Cover, NY/Saint Dominic) connected for the hat trick and continues her high-scoring efforts. She leads Sage with 12 goals and 30 points. Sophomore midfielder Gianna Sergovich (Watervliet, NY/Catholic) added a goal and an assist, while sophomore midfielder Emily Stevenson (Ithaca, NY/Newfield) also tallied three points with her goal and assist.
Sage's sophomore keeper Teagan Waddingham (Coeymans Hollow, NY/Ravena Coeymans-Selkirk) finished the afternoon with two saves and improves to 5-6-1 in net.
Sage returns to action on October 18 hosting Mt. St. Mary College in an 8 p.m. Skyline Conference match to be held at Colonie Central High School. Prior to the match Sage will honor their seniors, Dana Spuck (Braintree, MA/Charles Finney), Rachel Wampler (Carlisle, PA/Carlisle Area), and Grace Collett (Watervliet, NY/Watervliet).
