Waddingham proves tough as Sage plays SJC to a scoreless OT tie

Patchogue, NY---The Sage Colleges' women's soccer team traveled to St. Joseph's College (LI) for a key Skyline Conference match. The two teams played 110 minutes of scoreless action to have the match end in a scoreless draw. The Gators stand at 4-6-1 overall and 4-1-1 on the Skyline Conference and stand in second place in the race for the league regular-season title. SJC is now 9-5-3 overall and 3-2-1 in the conference.

Sage's sophomore keeper Teagan Waddingham (Coeymans Hollow, NY/Ravena Coeymans-Selkirk) finished the afternoon with an impressive performance as she turned away ten of the shots she faced and has now had two 10+ performances in goal for the Gators. She also has five shutouts this season, including three straight shutouts as the team has gone 2-0-1 in that stretch.

Sage returns to action on October 18 hosting Mt. ST. Mary College in an 8 p.m. Skyline Conference match to be held at Colonie Central High School. Prior to the match Sage will honor their seniors, Dana Spuck (Braintree, MA/Charles Finney), Rachel Wampler (Carlisle, PA/Carlisle Area), and Grace Collett (Watervliet, NY/Watervliet).
