New York, NY – The Sage Colleges' women's volleyball team travelled to Baruch College on Friday night for a non-conference match. Baruch recorded a 3-0 win (25-21, 25-14, 25-22) to improve to 10-9, while Sage falls to 6-14 on the year.

Sage's junior outside hitter Helen Putriment (Troy, NY/Cobleskill-Richmondville) had eight kills with 12 digs, while rookie Michayla Berard (Binghamton, NY/Susquehanna Valley) added six kills with a block.

Senior setter Joanie Cooney (Ballston Lake, NY/Shenendehowa) handed out 26 setting assists with eight digs and a kill, while junior defensive specialist Katelyn Drollette (Cadyville, NY/Saranac) had 17 digs.

Putriment wraps the week with her career resume elevated to 1,122 career digs (No. 10) at Sage as she moved ahead of Sarah Busch (2001-2004 with 1,106). She now has 874 career kills, which is No. 6 as well at Sage. Cooney now has 2,812 career setting assists which is No. 2 at Sage. Drollette added her 898st career dig this afternoon, moving her into the No. 14 position on the career list.

Sage returns to action on October 5 travelling to St. Joseph's College (LI) for a Skyline Quad match and will face St. Joseph's at 1:30 p.m. and the College of Mt. St. Vincent at 3:30 p.m.
