Sage wraps play at Endicott Tournament

Boston, MA – The Sage Colleges' women's volleyball team wrapped up action on Saturday afternoon at the Endicott College Invitational. Sage dropped a pair of matches to Roger Williams University (3-0, 25-10, 25-13, 25-11) and Plymouth State University (3-0, 25-14, 25-19, 25-8). Sage drops to 1-8 on the season.  

Against RWU, junior outside hitter Helen Putriment (Troy, NY/Cobleskill-Richmondville) had eight kills with 10 digs. Junior defensive specialist Katelyn Drollette (Cadyville, NY/Saranac) had a team-best 12 digs in the action.  Rookie Michayla Berard (Binghamton, NY/Susquehanna Valley) added three kills, while senior setter Joanie Cooney (Ballston Lake, NY/Shenendehowa) added eight setting assists with seven digs.

In the second match for the day, Sage faced Plymouth State sophomore Morgan Robinson (Ballston Lake, NY/Shenendehowa) added six kills with a .267 hitting percentage. Putriment racked up five kills, while Berard added four kills. Drollette contributed 14 digs, while Cooney connected for one kill, five digs, and 12 setting assists.

Sage returns to action on September 11 hosting Bard College in a non-conference match in the Kahl Gym at 7 p.m.
