Potsdam tallies 1-0 win over Gators

 

Potsdam, NY--The Sage Colleges women's soccer team travelled to SUNY-Potsdam for a non-conference match on Saturday. Potsdam was able to collect the win after a 1-0 mark to improve to 4-1 on the season, while Sage falls to 1-2.

Potsdam took a 1-0 lead as Dedra Palmer converted a feed from Stephanie Simons at 28:01. Sage challenged, but was unable to put in the tying goal in the match.

Sage's senior goalie Brittany McDonald (Schenectady, NY/Schalmont) made six saves in the contest, while Potsdam's Caitlin Titus made two saves in collecting the shutout win.

The Gators will host SUNY-IT on Wednesday, September 15 at Albany Academy for Girls in the home opener at 4 p.m. Sage will be giving away 25 free Sage athletic T-shirts to the first 25 Sage students in attendance with a Sage ID!
