UTICA, N.Y. – Russell Sage College dropped this afternoon's Empire 8 Conference contest at Utica 1-0.

Senior goalkeeper Tyler Brennan (Albany, NY/Shaker) (Loss, 2-5-3) turned away five Utica  attempts, while junior defender Mason Kievit (LaGrange, NY/Our Lady of Lourdes) took a team-high two shots.

Sophomore midfielder/defender Adin Day tallied the lone goal of the day in the eighth minute.

Utica (4-6-2/2-2-1 E8) held a 12-6 advantage on shots, while both squads earned a pair of corner kicks.

RSC (3-6-3/1-3-1 E8) continues conference play on Sunday afternoon at Alfred.

Notes: The Gators, which have finished in the top half of the E8 Conference standings in three of the last four seasons, made their fourth appearance in the E8 Championship Tournament in 2022…RSC got off to its best-ever start in E8 play at 3-0-0, and established a program single-season record with five E8 victories during the debut campaign of head coach Amir Pasic.
