HOUGHTON, N.Y. – Russell Sage College senior forward/midfielder John Locicero (Wallkill, NY/Wallkill) scored both goals of this afternoon's 2-0 Empire 8 Conference victory at Houghton.
Despite being out-shot 30-6 on the day, senior goalkeeper Tyler Brennan (Albany, NY/Shaker) (Win, 2-3-1) made the tallies standup, turning aside all 12 shots that the Highlanders (3-4-3/1-1-0 E8) put on target.
RSC (3-4-1/1-1-0 E8), which snapped a four-game slide, is back on the pitch on Tuesday at SUNY Morrisville. Start time is slated for 6:00 pm.
Notes: The Gators, which have finished in the top half of the E8 Conference standings in three of the last four seasons, made their fourth appearance in the E8 Championship Tournament in 2022…RSC got off to its best-ever start in E8 play at 3-0-0, and established a program single-season record with five E8 victories during the debut campaign of head coach Amir Pasic.
