ALBANY, N.Y. – Russell Sage College sophomore defender Olivia Badalucco (Rotterdam Junction, NY/Schalmont) was selected the Empire 8 Conference Offensive Player of the Week for the period ending Sunday, September 17.
Badalucco scored twice in Wednesday's 8-0 shutout of visiting SUNY Poly. The effort helped RSC record its most goals in a game since 2017 in the home win.
RSC (3-1-0) hosts Western Connecticut State on Tuesday afternoon at 4:00 PM.
Notes: Coming off a trip to the Empire 8 Conference Tournament Semifinals, more than 20 players and four all-league selections returned this fall…Senior forward Kennedy Jones (Albany, NY/Albany) was selected the E8 Player of the Week for the period ending Monday, September 4…The second-team All-E8 pick registered two goals and an assist to help RSC win its home opener vs. Nichols on September 2…Sophomore defender Courtney Bush (Schenectady, NY/Mohonasen), was chosen the E8 Defensive Player of the Week for the period ending Sunday, September 10…She scored the lone goal and permitted just one Eastern Connecticut State shot on goal during the 1-0 home victory on September 10…Jones, Bush, senior forward Marissa Key (Monroe, NY/Monroe-Woodbury), and junior defender Amelia Geesler (Glenmont, NY/Bethlehem Central) headlined the returnees.
