FREDERICK, MD – Russell Sage College avoided the Upstate New York snow on Saturday with a trip to Maryland to take on Hood College, where they fell 15-4.

Four Gators found the back of the net in the effort. Junior attacker Aimee Rodrigurez (Colonie, NY/Colonie), senior midfielder Ashley Hearn (Waterloo, NY/Waterloo), junior midfielder Maddy Walter (South Glens Falls, NY/South Glens Falls), and junior midfielder Tristyn Valenze (East Greenbush, NY/Columbia) each contributed a score.

Walter caused four turnovers and senior attacker Alexandra Queeney (Johnstown, NY/Johnstown) came away with four draw controls.

Hood College (4-6), winners of three of their last four, used six-goal first and third quarters to pull away from the Gators.

Senior midfielder Mackenzie Demaio and sophomore attacker Julia Gregory each contributed hat tricks for the Blazers in the victory.

Looking ahead, RSC (4-3) begins Empire 8 conference play next Saturday as they head to Nazareth to take on the Golden Eagles.
